      BRS WebWeaver FTP Server Vulnerabilities
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SUMMARY

     <http://www.bsoutham.org/WebWeaver/> BRS WebWeaver is a small, fast HTTP
    and FTP Server for Win9x/WinNT. Two vulnerabilities have been discovered
    in the product allowing a remote attacker to create directories that
    reside outside the bounding root FTP directory, and allowing him to reveal
    the true path used by the server.

    DETAILS

    Vulnerable systems:
     * BRS WebWeaver version 1.01

    Directory Traversal
    It is possible to create directories that will eventually reside under
    directories below those bounding the user (example: "mkdir ..\foobar").

    Path Disclosure
    It is possible to cause the server to reveal the true path used by it by
    trying to create a directory that already exists.
