Brinkster Web Hosting Protected File Retrieval

SUMMARY
<http://www.brinkster.com/> Brinkster is a very popular web-hosting
server. Netcrash Security was previously hosted at Brinkster. The module
used to protect remote users from downloading files that were not linked
from the page can be bypassed. By appending a null char to the end of the
file, a remote user can bypass the filter and successfully download the
file without being referred from the site.

Workaround:
Store protected files at a temporary location until Brinkster fixes this
vulnerability.
