  Essentia Web Server Directory Traversal Vulnerability

SUMMARY

The <http://www.essencomp.com/> Essentia Web Server provides Enhanced Web
Application and Communication Services.
A security vulnerability in the product allows attackers to traverse
further than the normally bound HTML root directory.

DETAILS

Vulnerable systems:
Essentia Web Server version 2.1

Adding the string "/../" to an URL allows an attacker to view and download
any file on the server.
