Most of the new crop of Oct 2004 updates that are for Windows NT
won't install on *Workstation* like they always have. MS04-037 and
MS04-038 install OK on NT 4 Workstation, but MS04-029, MS04-031 and
MS04-032 won't, stopping with a "Setup Error" message saying "This
fix is only for installation on Windows NT 4.0 Server."
Is this just marketing ploy, or is there some real reason that the
the 17-Aug-2004 Rpcrt4.dll version 4.0.1381.7229 from MS04-029
shouldn't go on on NT Workstation? How could it be for Server only?
Do we have to use inuse.exe or Linux boot CDs to apply these patches?
