According to a reliable source...
---- There are numerous application level VPN clients, including some from Juniper, that perform port forwarding and rely on multiple virtual loopback addresses (127.0.0.1, 127.0.0.x, 127.0.0.y, etc) in order to function. Some time after RC2, Windows began denying connections through loopback addresses other than 127.0.0.1, due to a bug. Netcat can easily reproduce and confirm these problems. ---- Cheers, Russ - NTBugtraq Editor ----- NTBugtraq Editor's Note: Want to reply to the person who sent this message?
