Firstly, I had many people contact me about the URL I provided to the
main XP SP2 home page. They said the link wouldn't work. So you
understand, almost all messages that are sent to NTBugtraq have their
line lengths hard clipped by the list software at 72 characters. That
means a long URL is going to get broken into two or more distinct lines.

Now unfortunately, most email software is just too stupid to understand
this, or maybe more accurately, most email software is too stupid to
recognize that a plain text email shouldn't interpret anything as being
"HTML" (IOWs, there shouldn't be any clickable links in such a message.)
The result is that you get an email which shows a clickable URL, but in
    fact the URL is incomplete.

For Outlook users, all you have to do is click "Edit", then "Edit
Message", and use delete to put the full URL back together. Poof, the
    complete workable URL.

Meanwhile, I put that URL into TinyURL, as well as a couple of others
people suggested you could use to get XP SP2.

Secondly, while a few people indicated they had problems getting a
completed download, most seemed to have no problems. Download times, the
time they attempted the download, and the networks they were on
obviously varied, so your mileage may vary (YMMV).

Want to reply to the person who sent this message? This list is configured such that just hitting reply is going to result in the message coming to the list, not to the individual who sent the message. This was done to help reduce the number of Out of Office messages posters received. So if you want to send a reply just to the poster, you'll have to copy their email address out of the message and place it in your TO: field.
