A change was introduced into SP4 that stopped both group policies and
logon scripts working under certain conditions.
The following article (KB823862) explains better than I can
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823862
A fix is detailed in the article, however if you have an NT4 domain with
Windows 2000 SP4 clients not running logon scripts, then Microsoft's
solution will be of little use to you. It is however possible to create
your own ADM template and NT4 policy that can be placed on your user
domain that will fix the problem.
