The EZ Armor Security Suite from CA is a very good choice for security
and we applaud CA for their participation in Microsoft's "Protect your
PC" program, providing their software to users at no charge for 12
months.
EZ Armor Suite's firewall is based on Zone Labs technology. However,
the CA version does not include a number of important ZoneAlarm Pro
features and services including, but not limited to:
1) EZ Armor lacks Zone Labs' important advisory services that help
users understand the nature of Alerts (ZoneAlarm Pro's Program and Alert
Advisor). EZ Armor Suite users must rely on their own knowledge and
research when making decisions how to react to security alerts.
2) EZ Firewall does not include HackerID which helps users trace
the source of hacking attempts. EZ Firewall users must resolve hacking
attempts on their own.
3) No in-program notification when a new version is available. Users
may miss important security updates and become vulnerable to attacks.
4) The EZ Firewall is not supported by Zone Labs and is ineligible
for our online or offline expert support options.
5) The CA offer is available for a limited time and does not provide
updates beyond the first year. For continued product and signature
updates, EZ Armor users will have to purchase an annual maintenance
contract from CA.
For the very best and latest protection we encourage users go to
zonelabs.com and try or buy ZoneAlarm Pro 4.5.
