    This might be useful for the list members.

    I had an issue where my Win2000 clients accepted updates from SUS no problem but the XP-Sp1 clients just weren't getting anything from it. I also noticed the BITS service on the XP clients would not start and would error with "The Background Intelligent Transfer Service terminated with

    service-specific error 2147942403 (0x80070003)"

    To correct this, create the folder %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\application data\microsoft\network and then start the BITS service manually. Next time the client polls the SUS box then updates will come down as normal.
