    Folks,

Today NTBugtraq has more than 31,000 subscribers. So far, however, only 1180+ people have filled in the survey. I'd like to appeal to you to take a moment and indicate what you use.

    http://www.ntbugtraq.com/patchpoll.asp

On the survey results page; http://www.ntbugtraq.com/patchresults.asp , I have added a listing of the top product(s) in each category, fee/free for each enterprise size. I'm open to suggestions on how best to determine an overall winner in both the fee and free categories, I'm of the opinion there should be some weighting for the size of organizations, but I admit I'm not a statistician...;-]

For those of you who asked, I have added the solutions below to the survey. If you have already been to the survey and missed these solutions, please return and add only your use of those products listed below.

FYI, I have also changed SUS to a free solution. I was under the mistaken impression that you required a dedicated server to run it on, which I've been reliably informed is not the case (thanks Microsoft!) KiXtart has been added, I had thought it was part of ScriptLogic's solution (which does use the KiX language, but isn't the same as KiXtart.)

I was asked to add HP Open View to the list, but I've been unable to find anything on HP's site that suggests that product has the capability on its own. I did find an Altiris Connector for Open View, and at this point I believe that's the software deployment capability in Open View. If you know of an HP patch solution which doesn't use Altiris, let me know.
