I was asked if blocking access to EV1.NET by "name" would prevent the issue.
I answered;
No. EV1.NET is a hosting provider and all references I have had reported to me were based on an IP address in the EV1.NET netblocks. Blocking access to all IPs at EV1.NET would resolve the problem, but I can't disclose the unique address I've seen.
I'm told EV1.NET say they have shut down the customer delivering the malcode, but my testing showed that was not the case several hours (at least) after I was told EV1.NET claimed it was done.
Cheers,
Russ
