Is disabling DCOM as simple as modifying
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Ole\EnableDCOM to "N" ???
I set this on about 10 W2K machines today as a test to see what things
may or may not work. After the setting change my (freebee Retina)
scanner does report DCOM as being disabled.
It just seemed to me to be too easy...maybe I'm getting cynical in my
old age. ;)
