FYI, the MS Security Bulletin (initially) states that the patch can be applied to W2K SP2, and SP3, but omits SP4. The patch can be applied to SP4 systems.
Also note that MDAC 2.5, which shipped with W2K, is MDAC 2.5 SP3 after W2K SP3, it is not modified by SP4. The Bulletin also says that this fix will be included in MDAC 2.5 SP5. I'm not sure what happened to MDAC 2.5 SP4, I can't find any reference to it in the DLL Database.
Anyway, the point is, unless you have put MDAC 2.8 on your Windows 2000 system, you need this patch.
