    Folks,

Sam Varghese has followed NTBugtraq closely for quite some time as the Online Technology Editor of Australia's The Age. He's asked if I would mind putting this message out, asking you to help him with an article. With a broad enough response it should make for interesting reading.

    Cheers,
    Russ

    ----
I am doing an article based on the experiences of sysadmins who are experienced in administering Windows boxes. I would like to know about the pluses and minuses of this part of the job. I would prefer people who have at least five years of Windows experience.
I am particularly interested in how upgrades and bug fixes impact on the process and how people network to benefit from each others' triumphs or goof-ups. If anybody handles Unix boxes as well as Windows boxes some points of comparison would be good.
The emphasis of this article, however, is on administering Windows - that's the main focus.
As this material is only for the web, you can write at length of your experiences. Ideally I would like to publish by Friday this week (August 22) but if I don't have enough material, I may have to put it off further.
Along with your comments, please briefly indicate the extent of your experience and also whether you would like to quoted by name or prefer to stay anonymous.
Any replies could please be sent to svarghese (at) theage.com.au
    Cheers,
    Sam
