    Hi list,

I've made a free patch deployment tool called hfnetFU that can remotely
install hotfixes based on Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer output
(mbsacli.exe /hf, or previously Hfnetchk.exe). Basically it is meant to fill
the gap that MBSA has left out, possibly for MS System Management Server
    :-).

    Some of its highlights:

    - Considerably accurate missing patches assessment (since it uses
    MBSA/hfnetchk).
    - Automated downloading of missing hotfixes from MS site.
    - Automated remote installation of hotfixes using selectable method (using
temporary Windows Service or Task Scheduler).
    - Selectively restart target machine after hotfixes installation.
    - Database-ready outputs (in .csv).
    - No fancy requirement on the target machines (A default install of NT 4.0
    or above should be enough).

You can download the .msi package from
    http://www.freewebs.com/mmta/software.htm. Just search for hfnetFU.

Note that some people have reported errors (including file not found) while
downloading from the site under certain condition, so you should retry it
from another machine or with a different browser/download manager if you
encounter the same problem. I cannot determine the exact cause & workaround
to this since the free site is not under my administration.

Comments & suggestions are appreciated; bug reports are mandatory :-).

Be sure you've read the README file before using hfnetFU.

    Regards,
