After the application of W2K SP3, I discovered a problem: I was on
neither of my PC (US or FR) able to resolve IP names as soon I was
logged with a non-admin user (no problem with administrators).
I called MS French PSS, we investigated further with network traces and
found that the DNSRSLVR.DLL was guilty.
The first solution I adopted, after have read the following Wisconsin
University article http://helpdesk.doit.wisc.edu/page.php?id=1700, was
to stop and disable the DNS Client cache service (that works !). But the
bug was still there, and MS escalated the problem to the US.

Finally, they sent yesterday the patch to me.
If you're interested, the whole problem is described at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q329405.
You can get the fix by, as usual, calling MS PSS.
