They are aware of it and acknowledge it:

Support for enabling "Restrict Anonymous" was added to Backup Exec
version 8.6 and it is stated that versions of Backup Exec prior to 8.6
do not support it.
As for backing up a combination of AD and Exchange2000, nothing was
specified.
