Folks,

August 21st through August 23rd we'll be here at NTBugtraq Headquarters
for the 4th Annual NTBugtraq Retreat. 3 days of informal and highly
interactive discussions about Microsoft security issues and products.

There are now only 15 spots left for this unique event. Stephan Norberg,
author of the excellent O'Reilly and Associates book "Securing Windows
NT/2000 Servers for the Internet" has added himself to the list of other
notables;

Bob Abbott
Mikko Hypponen (F-Secure)
Jimmy Kuo (Network Associates)
Luke Leighton (looking for a job!)
William H. Murray
Marcus Ranum (NFR)
Paul Robertson
Bill Sobel (Symantec)
Roger Thompson
Peter Tippett

To remind you;

Included in your admission price of US$900.00 are;

- all food - 3 top quality meals a day, August 23rd is a 7 course dinner
- all drinks (of all sorts)
- accommodation (cottages are all gone so you'll be staying at the
Admiral Inn)
- taxis between your accommodation and NTBugtraq HQ
- Internet access via T1

We have two talking periods a day, 10-12 and 2-4 for each of the three
days. The rest of the time is spent networking with the other attendees.
Many of these luminaries are hard, at best, to chat with at a conference
let alone spend three casual days with in a relaxed atmosphere.
Everything is done here at my house on the side of Sturgeon Lake in
Lindsay, Ontario.

Last year we unraveled Code Red II during a 6 course meal and announced
it to the world first, causing Reuters to write the whole thing up.

Topics have yet to be finalized, but will be drawn from the list below.
The overall theme is going to be Trustworthiness and Responsibility -
The Future of Software.

- Why use .Net servers?
- How Federated Corporate Windows Update should save the world
- Virus/Worm/Trojan trends
- HIPPA
- Wireless security
- Internet Explorer Administration Kit unsung praise
- The advantages of custom ADM files
- EU Privacy Laws - requirements for more secure software
- Biometrics - are we there yet?
- IDS/FW/Scanning improvements (or lack thereof)
- Retrofitting security - shaping up your NT 4 Servers (yes, in August)
- Eeek! UPnP and other new protocols
