Folks,

In an effort to help posters avoid hundreds of Out of Office
messages, I have finally changed the way the list is configured. Many
people have asked for this change in the past.

If you reply to a list message, by default, the reply will be sent to
the NTBugtraq list only. This is in contrast to the way things used
to work where a reply would go to the message poster only.

If you wish to reply to a message poster you will have to manually
cut and paste their email address out of their message and into your
recipient list.

This change has been done in order to reduce the number of Out of
Office messages that poster's get when they send a message to the
list (which can sometimes be over 100). I've spent years now doing
daily maintenance on such subscriber addresses, maintenance that can
often take up several hours a day.

I received numerous messages as replies to Steve Riley's message
(from Microsoft). If you replied to his message, please check if it
was sent to him or the list (and if the list, then resend it to him).

Sorry for not informing you before a message was sent out.

Cheers,
Russ - NTBugtraq Editor
