No, he's saying that if someone finds there is a way to walk into the
canning facility at night (and thus _could_ poison the beers), the
someone should give the cannery a chance to fix it before calling the
press.
Arguing with analogies is fun; the only problem is, it doesn't actually
get you much anywhere. Neither analogy actually matches the situation.
