FWIW, this is what it looks like for 5.0-DP1

flynn@kajsa# pwd
/boot/kernel
flynn@kajsa# ls -lo kernel linux.ko

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel - 98535 May 15 19:48 linux.ko

But I agree that it might be better if the install process chflagged
kernel and modules by default. It's a trivial patch, anyway.
