Here is a hint from my book I am writing. If you did a fresh install
of KerberosIV, the error Retry count exceeded is nothing special and
happens on a lot of machines. Try this: restart your server (yes!), start kerberos manually.

Tip: dont use kerberosIV! If you really dont need Kerberos, dont use
it.
