    I misinterpreted this point. I guess I should apologise to MJR for the
    flame.

    Vendors have three options:
    1> Specify libraries with the necessary build flags.
    2> Release a statically linked binary.
    3> Put the source out and let the interested people from the community
    figure out the packaging issues.
