    Ron is absolutely right. If the last big Microsoft IE/IIS bug was not
    enough to get people to change platforms, the next one won't be,
    either. Indeed, an apparently infinite series of prior big bugs didn't
    do the job.

    Assuming that IT managers are going to "get it" about security
    because of disasters happening overlooks their stellar past history
    of ignoring disasters! If you try to strike a match 10,000 times
    and it doesn't light; you aren't likely to get a spark on the 10,001st
    try, either.
