Simplified mode on the NG box really shouldn't matter.

    What are the errors?

Do they appear when installing the new policy or are they in the log?

Is VPN-1 installed and licensed on both firewalls?

Do the two networks you are trying to connect have overlapping address ranges?

Do the two networks use the firewall as a default gateway, or an internal router?

If you open Log Viewer (SMART Tracker?) do you see any encrypts from the remote firewall?

    Decrypts?

So many questions, so few answers. Sorry. :-)
